MUSICMUSIC

I've always loved singing and as a child I was constantly singing and at the age of 16, I would go to jam sessions with my brother and his friends - me the singer and they the band.

EARLYEARLYYEARSYEARS

We gigged at friends' parties, playing mostly cover tracks with the odd eccentric original songs. It was not until I was touring Germany alone that I took up guitar and this lead to the inception of my own song writing.

My early songs ventured into the simple and clear. As time progressed, my focus shifted to personal experience. In 2003, I entered and won the Hopp oder Topp Show talent search, in Leipzig, Germany.

Every song has been recorded by an eclectic variety of musicians in numerous studios across the world, from Cape Town to Europe and back.

NOW ANDNOW ANDBEYONDBEYOND

This year I'm venturing into performance at Open Mic nights, as well as performing at various bars and live music venues.

Next I'm planning to creating my solo album, a mixture of old tracks and unrecorded new tracks. The flavours will range from country, funk rock to romantic ballads. Album release is scheduled for the end of year Holidays 2011.

SET ON YOUSET ON YOU

I wrote this track in the winter of 2004 and recorded in a small town just outside Dresden, Germany, by the Heavy Metal Band. It was fun to work with them, as this was against the style they normally prefer to play. Their father is a producer for the well-known band Rammstein.

FOOLISHFOOLISH

This song's inspired by the mixed-up feelings of helplessness, unreturned love and being just foolish.

I'LL SAVEI'LL SAVEMYSELFMYSELF

Strangely enough it's the First Rule of First Aid. Recorded in Paris Studios in Cape Town with a studio band. I was particularly impressed with the guitarist who performed on this track.

SANDS OFSANDS OFTIMETIME

This is a song I wrote with my friend Ming. I particularly love the piano. Recorded in one take.
